MS or PhD Student, Spatial analysis of the 2024 Texas Panhandle Fires

I seek one graduate student who is interested in using GIS/remote sensing to study the drivers of wildfire severity in the 2024 Texas Panhandle Wildfires. Full support for one student (tuition plus stipend commensurate with education/experience, $20,000-$30,000 per year coningent upon satisfactory progress each year) is available. Elements of this project can fit to the master's or doctoral level.

PhD Student, Public perceptions of Wildfire Crisis Strategy in the Enchanted Circle, NM

I seek one PhD student to be advised in the Natural Resources management and Agricultural Communications departments at TTU. The candidate who fills this position will have strong interests at the intersection of wildfire management and communications. Skills in social media analytics and/or GIS preferred. Funding guaranteed through two years, with opportunities for additional funding possible. MS 

Other opportunities may be available for those who wish to seek external funding such as a fellowship to support a graduate position in the LEAF Lab. Please reach out as I'd be happy to work with you on this.
